STRATEGY AND EVENT DEVELOPMENT:
Developed major strategies, determined goals and executed over $15 million in marketing initiatives. Introduced and established Toyota trucks as a major credible participant within the action sports industry. Reached over 1 million consumers (external of media), and captured over 300,000 hand-raisers.

Devised Toyota’s three-year project and activation plans, RFPs, and budgets for over $12 million in first-year sponsorships in Supercross, AMA Motocross, and Arenacross in the truck category, resulting in about 12,000 hand-raisers.

 


PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
Managed all aspects of Toyota’s founding sponsorship of the Dew Action Sports Tour including a $2.5 million budget; directed an integrated marketing program, managed partnerships with Verizon, FUEL TV, Playstation, event organizers, and media/PR agency.

PARTNERSHIPS:
Initiated and developed strategic partnerships and event activities within the action sport community by tapping into on-line and media databases, resources and outside projects. Partners included Hurley, Red Bull, Etnies, Primedia, Transworld, Thor, Circuit City, American Motosports Association, and FMF.

 


RED BULL NORTH AMERICA
SANTA MONICA, CA

PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
As National Events Manager, conceptualized, managed and marketed hundreds of action sport events including THE FIRST-EVER HANDRAIL snowboarding competition conducted over a three-year period, resulted in 20,000 spectators, over 20 million media hits, and catapulted this style of competition throughout the world.

 


ATHLETE MARKETING:
Developed and managed marketing for 7 Red Bull athletes including Ryan Sheckler, Tanner Hall, Red Bull Olympic Team, Shane McConkey and Steve Fisher.

PHOTO/FILM PRODUCTION:
Managed and produced 3 international film and photo athlete shoots in British Columbia, Canada; New Zealand; Uganda, East Africa; successfully gathering content for Red Bulls film archive. Management included planning, location scouting, permitting, insurance, accommodations, travel, helicopter / equipment rentals.

SPONSORSHIP ACTIVATION:
Launched, directed, and executed the first ever Supermoto series (hybrid of dirt and street motor bikes) in U.S. with 6 stops total. Received over 95,000 spectators and 24 million media hits.

 


FUEL TV
LOS ANGELES, CA

PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
2008 Up-Front Sales Meetings: Directed and managed first-ever experiential up-front presentations in NYC, reaching over 30 companies and 200 participants setting a precedent for up-front presentations across all FOX Cable Networks.

SPONSORSHIP ACTIVATION:
Managed over 50 event sponsorships and promotions including:

Dew Action Sports Tour:
Managed and executed sponsorship of 5-stop nationwide televised tour reaching over 200,000 spectators and receiving almost 25,000 data entries.


FUEL TV Chalet:
Managed and organized a 5-story hospitality lodge and film festival in ParkCity, Utah, for 10 days during the Sundance Film Festival, hosting hundreds of film-makers, actors, and musicians. House included film festival, daily receptions, talent visits, PR activities and parties.


Boost Mobile
Irvine, CA

Event Marketing/Project Management:
BMP of Surf:
Devised National and International marketing campaign for the Boost Mobile Pro of Surf, doubling the number of impressions from the previous year by reaching almost 1 billion consumers. Directed and managed the only US mainland Foster’s Men’s World Championship Tour of surf (out of 10 total), featuring the world’s best 45 surfers, and drawing over 15,000 spectators. Managed and met a $1.3 million budget. Managed over half a million dollars of sponsorships including Mazda, Quiksilver, Surfer Magazine, Surfline, and Wahoo’s.

Administration and Training:
Drafted 2005 Business Plan and directed the internal process to manage events for Boost Mobile. Additional consultation included staff training, event creation and research and post-event analysis and recommendations.


Campos Creative Works (CCW)
Santa Monica, CA

Strategy/Triathlon:
Acted as Creative Strategic Director for forthcoming Toyota’s sponsorship of 8 races across the country with a goal of reaching over 5000 hand-raisers.

Strategy/IMS:
Acted as creative Strategic Director for over $1 million in activation of a 12-stop National motorcycle trade show gathering over 500,000 impressions,almost 90% of total event attendance interacted with Toyota.

RFP Development:
Wrote and directed RFP process for CCW’s response to IMS,Triathlon,and LA Live.
